HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Continuing to play shorthanded, the Alcorn State University soccer program dropped a 6-0 decision to Alabama A&M on Friday at Bulldog Field, and a 10-0 result Sunday to Alabama State at the ASU Soccer Complex.
 
Alcorn (0-9, 0-4 SWAC), which has been bit by the injury bug this season, totaled four shots over the two matches. Senior Yaira Guardado fired a pair and senior Vanessa Monge and freshman Johanna Seelhorst each took one.
 
Junior goalkeeper Giselle Rojas played all 180 minutes in next and made 22 saves, including 14 against the Hornets.
 
Alcorn will have a full week to recover as it returns home to host Howard at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7. Howard is a SWAC member in women's soccer.
