LORMAN, Miss. – The Alcorn State University women's soccer program shutout the Lady Bulldogs in the first half but could not contain them in the second as they dropped the match 3-0.

Freshman goalie Kali Helms carried over the momentum from her stellar second half of the Alabama State game as she shutout the Lady Hornets and Lady Bulldogs over 108 minutes and 44 seconds straight combined between the two games.

Helms had eight saves and three goals allowed for the second consecutive contest while compiling 100 saves in 12 matches, fourth-most for a single season in program history.

Alabama A&M was able to breakthrough in the 52nd minute with the first of three goals by Iris Torres who accounted for all of the maroon's scoring production.

Junior Mireya Gonzalez accounted for the Lady Braves lone shot of the match.

The purple and gold have a week off before heading to Birmingham, Alabama to face the reigning SWAC champion Howard Bison at Sicard Hollow Park for a 1 p.m. start.
