Lorman, Miss. – The Alcorn State University women's soccer program fell to LSU-Alexandria and South Carolina State in two sweltering hot matches this week.

The Lady Braves were able to take one corner kick, sophomore Paula Solé Cabeza tallied a shot and senior Anjelica Dugan put a shot on goal against LSUA.

In the match with SCSU, senior Lauryn Souflard and junior Anouchka Berthelot both recorded a shot.

The two goalkeepers split nearly equal time in the net as senior Giselle Rojas had 12 saves and freshman Kali Helms racked up 15 saves including a season-high 14 against the Generals. Both keepers contributed in holding the Lady Bulldogs to just three goals on Sunday.

Alcorn returns to Jack Spinks-Marino Casem Stadium on Friday, September 13 when Nicholls State University pays a visit to The Reservation.
