Five Braves Play in HBCU Spirit of America Bowl

SALEM, Va. – Five student-athletes from the Alcorn State University football program played in the 2020 HBCU Spirit of America Bowl on Sunday at Salem Football Stadium.

Alcorn was represented by seniors Raidarious Anderson, Chris Blair, Kevin Hall, Darrell Henderson and Corey McCullough. All five were members of Team Brave, which defeated Team Pride by the score of 18-13.

The Spirit of America Bowl is an HBCU football all-star game that has been played annually since 2017. In the days leading up to the game, an NFL/CFL-style combine was held in front of NFL and CFL scouts. There was also a career services and career fair for the student-athletes.

According to nfldraftdiamond.com, Blair "Wowed scouts. Looks like a do it all WR. A scout favorite."

Hall was also mentioned as being "solid in 1 on 1s. Interviewed with scouts."

McCullough hit a 41-yard field goal in the contest.
