Men's Basketball SWAC Home Opener Against Texas Southern Postponed

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The scheduled SWAC home opener for the Alcorn State University men's basketball team has been postponed this Saturday against Texas Southern due to a positive COVID-19 test and subsequent quarantining of student-athletes among the TSU program.

The action follows the guidelines and protocols set by the league and its COVID-19 Advisory Committee. A make up date for the game has not been determined at this time. 

The Lady Braves are still scheduled to play Texas Southern to open the SWAC and home portion of their schedule this Saturday at 3 p.m. The games against Prairie View A&M on Monday are also still scheduled with the women opening the night at 5:30 p.m., followed by the men's game at 7:30 p.m.
