BATON ROUGE, La. – Alcorn State men's tennis (3-9) took a break from league play to take on No. 40 LSU on Sunday afternoon at the LSU Tennis Complex. The Braves struggled against the nationally-ranked team to fall 7-0.
The afternoon began with doubles pair Nick Watson and Ben Koch taking the first doubles contest 6-2 over Santiago Rocca and Isaac Santitto. The Tigers would then take the final two doubles games 6-1 for the first point of the match.
In the singles competition, Vlad Lobak faced Lucas Dini. Lobak came out on top on court one to defeat Dini 6-4, 6-2. LSU would take all the other singles contests for the 7-0 victory over the Braves.
Alcorn will have a short turnaround, traveling to Hattiesburg, Miss. to face Southern Miss on Monday. The first serve is set for 2 p.m. at the Southern Miss Tennis Facility.
