LORMAN, Miss. – Alcorn State University Athletics has tapped Earl D'Wayne Robinson to the position of Deputy Associate Athletic Director (Compliance). With an extensive background in athletics administration and a commitment to fostering excellence, both on and off the field, Robinson brings a wealth of experience to his new role.
In his capacity as Deputy Associate Athletic Director (Compliance), Robinson will play a key role in overseeing and enhancing the university's athletic programs. His responsibilities will include oversight of NCAA Compliance, strategic planning, program development, and ensuring the continued success of Alcorn State University's student-athletes.
"Alcorn State University is thrilled to welcome Mr. Robinson to our athletics leadership team," said Robert Raines, interim Director of Athletics. "His proven track record of leadership, combined with his passion for advancing the student-athlete experience, makes him an excellent fit for our university. Robinson comes to Alcorn State with over 20 years of experience in athletic administration, having previously served in key roles at Alabama A&M University, Florida A&M University and Coppin State University. His leadership style, genuine commitment to student-athlete development, and ability to build successful student and donor relationships align seamlessly with the values of Alcorn.
"I am honored to join the Alcorn State University family. In fact, here is where it all started – my first role in athletic administration was many years ago, right here at Alcorn State. My primary goal is to contribute to the rich legacy of Alcorn State," said Robinson. Together, we will continue to prioritize excellence, integrity, and the holistic development of our student-athletes."
Robinson holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Tougaloo College, Master of Science in Education from Alcorn State, and has completed doctoral program work in higher education administration at Florida State University. He is an active member of the National Association of College Directors of Athletics, Minority in Opportunities in Athletic Administration (MOAA), and the National Association of Administrators for Compliance (NAAC). Robinson is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. His experience and dedication to advancing the mission of Alcorn State University make him a valuable addition to the university's athletic leadership team.
