Duke Selected for Yale Summer Enrichment Program

LORMAN, Miss. – Braves baseball's own Mason Duke has been selected to join the 2023 Yale Summer Enrich Medical Academy for the summer of 2023.

Duke, a pre-med student at Alcorn State University, has proven himself in the classroom to receive the invite from The Office of Diversity, Inclusion, Community, Engagement, and Equity (DICE) at Yale University. The 6-week residential program is open to undergraduate students completing their first or second year of college at Historical Black Colleges and Universities, Hispanic-Serving Institutions, or Connecticut Community Colleges interested in pursuing medical school.

The free program will immerse students in an intensive course load, including Biology, Organic Chemistry, Writing Communication, and Introduction to Research. They will participate in a series of workshops focused on learning how to become a successful medical school applicant and how to navigate the applicant process. Students will also have the opportunity to engage in clinical activities.

Participants receive a $1,000 stipend, a meal card, and housing on the Yale School of Medicine campus.
