LORMAN, Miss. – Brave Fans, Fall Sports Are Back! On Saturday, August 26
th, Alcorn State University Athletics will host Braves Fest inside of the Davey L. Whitney Gymnasium. The free event will begin with the Braves Football team hosting an inter squad scrimmage beginning at 10:00 a.m. Gates will open at 9:00 a.m.
Following the scrimmage, the football team will be joined in the gym by the cross-country and soccer teams where you, the fans will have the chance to meet and greet our student-athletes and coaches. During this time our student-athletes will be passing out and autographing posters for the upcoming fall seasons.
Fans will have a chance to hear from Head Football Coach Fred McNair as well as live performances by the Sounds of Dynamite and the ASU Cheerleaders just to top off the festivities.

Braves football is slated to play five home games this fall. The schedule includes Southwestern Athletic Conference matchups against Prairie View A&M (Sept. 23), Grambling State on (Oct. 7), Mississippi Valley State (Oct. 28), and Southern (Nov. 4). Alcorn will also host non-conference foe McNeese State for the home opener on Sept. 16.
