Lorman, Miss. - The Alcorn State University women's basketball team has released their complete 2023-2024 schedule. This year's schedule includes 11 non-conference games to kick off the season.
The Lady Braves first game will be in Starkville, Mississippi on November 6th where they will face Mississippi State. The following week they will head to Lincoln, Nebraska for a game against the University of Nebraska. On November 21
st the Lady Braves will head back down south to New Orleans, Louisiana to play the University of New Orleans then to Waco, Texas to play Baylor University on November 26
th. After that, the Lady Braves will head back home to Lorman, where they will play Nicholls State on November 30
th at the Davey L. Whitney Complex.
On December 3
rd, the Lady Braves will play Arkansas Baptist in Lorman, Mississippi. They will then travel to Denton, Texas on December 9
th to face North Texas. Almost a week later, ASU will play Louisiana Tech in Ruston, Louisiana on December 16
th. On December 20
th they will return home to Lorman where they will face New Orleans and the following week on December 28
th, they will head to Chicago, Illinois to play DePaul University. The last game in December is on the 30
th in Oxford, Mississippi where they will be going against the Ole Miss.
The Lady Braves start the new year facing in state foe Jackson State in Jackson on January 6th. Shortly after they will travel to Huntsville, Alabama to play Alabama A&M on January 13th and onto Montgomery, Alabama on January 15
th to play Alabama State. The Lady Braves return home to Lorman to play Texas Southern University on January 20
th and Prairie View A&M University January 22
nd. ASU goes back on the road to Tallahassee, Florida to play Florida A&M on January 27
th and then to Daytona Beach to face Bethune-Cookman.
ASU begins February at home against Southern on the 3
rd and then Grambling on the 5
th. A trip to Pine Bluff for a match-up on February 10
th then to Itta Bena on February 12
th. For the next couple of games, the Braves will play Bethune-Cookman on February 17
th, Florida A&M February 19
th, and Jackson State February 24
th all in Lorman Mississippi.
The Lady Braves begin March against Prairie View A&M University on the road on the 2
nd. On March 4
th they travel to Houston, Texas to play against Texas Southern. The Lady Braves close the season at home against Mississippi Valley on March 7th and the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff on March 9th. The SWAC tournament will be March 12th-16th in Birmingham Alabama.
