JACKSON, Miss. – Alcorn State University baseball hit the diamond against Grambling State University on Friday night and was defeated by the Tigers, 0-10, in seven innings.
    Alcorn (0-11) had no runs with three hits and one error.

Jaylon Burrell went 1-of-3 at the plate.
    Grambling (3-13) finished with 10 runs on 15 hits and no errors. Tiger Borom went 2-of-4, scored a run and batted one in. Cameron Bufford went 2-of-5, scored a run and had an RBI. Kyle Walker went 2-of-4 at the plate, scored two runs and batted a run in. Ashton Inman went 2-of-4 at the plate and batted two in while Julian Murphy finished with three hits and two runs. Trevor Hatton went 2-of-4 at the plate, had two runs and batted a run in. Jose Vargas went 1-of-3 and scored a run. Trey Burrell went 1-of-2, scored a run, and batted one in.
    Randy Reyes snapped up the win for Grambling with seven innings pitched, allowed three hits, fanned 12 batters, and faced 24.

Kewan Braziel suffered the loss for Alcorn State with five innings pitched allowed 11 hits, five runs, fanned three batters and faced 24.
    The Braves will play GSU on Saturday, March 16 at Smith-Wills Stadium in Jackson, Miss. The first pitch is set for 6 p.m.
