JACKSON, Miss. – Alcorn State University baseball played Grambling State University in a second game on Saturday afternoon and was defeated 3-12.
The Braves scored three runs on six hits while committing three errors.
Trey Adams went 2-of-5 at the plate, scored a run and batted two in.
Nathan Gamez went 1-of-4 and had an RBI.
Chance Jackson went 1-of-2 and scored a run while
Jermel Ford had three at bats and a run.
Garrett Palladino went 2-of-4 at the plate.
Grambling scored 12 runs on 10 hits while committing an error. Tiger Borom went 1-of-3, scored two runs, and batted two in. Kyle Walker went 1-of-5, scored two runs, and had two RBI. Julian Murphy and Trevor Hatton went 2-of-4 at the place with three RBI.
Mason Martinez picked up the win for GSU with 6.1 innings pitched, allowed five hits, three earned runs, two walks, seven strikeouts, and faced 27 batters.
Guershon Exi suffered the loss for Alcorn with 4.1 innings pitched, allowed four hits, seven hits (four earned), six walks, two strikeouts, and faced 24 batters.
