GRAMBLING, La. – Alcorn State University and Grambling State University finished out their postponed contest from March 17 on Friday when the Braves traveled to Grambling for a series. The Braves were defeated by GSU, 3-28.
ASU scored three runs on two hits while committing two errors.
Jermel Ford finished with a run batted in.
Grambling finished game with 28 runs on 22 hits and no errors. Ashton Inman had two hits, two runs and four batted in while Keanu Jacobs-Guishar had two hits, two runs, and three batted in. Kevin Hall finished with three runs batted in and a hit. Martavious Thomas ended the game with two batted in, a hit, and a run. Trey Burrell finished with two hits, two runs, and two RBI. Trevor Hatton had a hit, two runs, and two batted in. James Woody finished the day with a hit, a run, and two runs batted in. Kyle Walker had two runs batted in, two hits, and two runs. Demarckus Smiley scored a run and batted two in. Trey Ware had a hit and an RBI. Cameron Bufford finished with three hits, four runs, and a run batted in. Jalen Buckner ended the day with a run, two hits, and an RBI.
Charles Jackson picked up the win for the Tigers with four innings pitched for two walks, three strikeouts, a wild pitch, a balk, and faced 14 batters.
Andres Chirinos suffered the loss with two innings pitched for eight hits, 14 runs (12 earned), nine walks, three wild pitches, and faced 25 batters.
