LAUREL, Miss. – Alcorn State University baseball traveled to Laurel, Miss. to face Southeastern Baptist University in a mid-week matchup. The Braves fought hard but were defeated by SBC, 4-7.
ASU scored four runs on eight hits while committing two errors.
Garrett Palladino finished with a hit and an RBI.
Chris Tillman had a hit, a run, and a run batted in.
Jermel Ford ended the game with two hits and an RBI.
Dillon Brown had an RBI.
Southeastern Baptist finished the game with seven runs on seven hits while committing two errors. Caleb Polk finished with one hit, two runs, and an RBI. Rod Evans had two hits and a run batted in. Cole Eckhoff and Weston Wales had an RBI each.
Ryley Reynolds picked up the win with a complete game pitched for eight hits, four runs (one earned), four walks, seven strikeouts, and faced 40 batters.
Kewan Braziel suffered the loss for the Braves with two innings pitched for a walk, two strikeouts, and faced eight batters.
