LORMAN, Miss. – Alcorn State University women's soccer released its 2024 schedule, and it features matches that will showcase the Lady Braves growth during the off season. ASU looks to build on their "Cinderella" trip to the 2023 Southwestern Athletic Conference where the team fell to Jackson State University, 0-1.
The Lady Braves come into the 2024 campaign after finishing last season 5-11-1, overall, and 3-5-1, in conference. Alcorn State's schedule will begin with two exhibition games at home on Friday, August 9 against Holmes Community College and Sunday, August 11 against Jones Community College. The schedule shifts to opponents such as Austin Peay State University, University of Central Arkansas, University of North Florida, and Stephen F. Austin State University.
Alcorn opens conference play at home in Spinks-Casem Stadium against Prairie View A&M University on Friday, September 27 and Texas Southern University on Sunday, September 29. The team's season will end at home with the Lady Braves facing Jackson State University on Sunday, October 27 and Mississippi Valley State University on Friday, November 1.
