LORMAN, Miss. -- Gabrielle Harris is set to begin her first season as an Assistant Volleyball Coach at Alcorn State University for the 2024-2025 season.

"Gabby is literally the assistant that I never thought I would be able to have. She has come in and made a difference already at Alcorn State," said Head Coach Mariah Prince. "She is already a great addition to the culture that we are now establishing at Alcorn."

Previously, Harris was with Tennessee Wesleyan University, where she served as the Assistant Volleyball Coach and Director of Student Involvement. In Athens, TN, she also took on the role of Master Coach at Victory Volleyball Academy, overseeing and mentoring other coaches within the organization. Additionally, during a recent internship as part of her master's program, Harris gained experience with the University of Tennessee - Chattanooga Volleyball Program.

As a player, Harris competed for and graduated from Tennessee Wesleyan University, where she transitioned to an Assistant Coach role immediately after finishing her playing career.

In 2024, Harris earned a Master of Science in Sports Administration from Arkansas State University. She completed her undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Physical Education in May 2022.

"I am really excited to assist in laying the foundation of the new culture Coach Prince is establishing at Alcorn," Harris said. "This will be a new era for Alcorn Volleyball, and I am beyond excited to contribute to the program. We are building something special, and I am just grateful to be part of it."
