PRAIRIE VIEW, TX – The Alcorn State Lady Braves fell short in SWAC play, losing 62-52 to Prairie View A&M on Tuesday evening at the William Nicks Building.
Kiarra Henderson led the Lady Braves with a double-double, scoring 14 points and grabbing 11 rebounds, while Nakia Cheathman added 13 points, including a perfect 5-for-5 performance from the free-throw line. Leyah Houston contributed 10 points and four rebounds. Despite a strong second-quarter push, the Lady Braves were unable to maintain momentum against Prairie View's balanced attack.

First Quarter – Prairie View 13, Alcorn 4
- Alcorn struggled to find its rhythm offensively, shooting just 6.25% from the field in the opening period.
- Henderson provided the Lady Braves' lone field goal, while Prairie View's Amauri Williams scored six points to give the Panthers an early lead.

- The Lady Braves responded with a strong second quarter, outscoring Prairie View 23-14.

Fourth Quarter – Prairie View 62, Alcorn 52
- Alcorn mounted a late comeback effort, with Henderson scoring eight points in the final frame.
- Cheathman knocked down clutch free throws, but Prairie View's defense held strong to secure the win.
