Traffic Control Plan - Football Game and High School Day – October 4, 2025

10/1/2025 3:00:00 PM

LORMAN, Miss. – Alcorn State University encourages fans to abide by rules established for successful football game day activities. On October 4, 2025, the university will host its first home game of the season, along with High School Day. We expect that around 2,500 high school students will be visiting our campus. High School Day activities will begin at 10:00 a.m. on the campus green. Kickoff for the game is at 3:00 p.m., but the campus will open for parking at 6:00 a.m.

Below is the schedule for tailgate and RV arrival:

Reserved RV Lot Thursday, October 2 12 noon
Tailgate Setup   Friday, October 3 12 noon
Overflow RV Arrival Friday, October 3 12 noon

All tailgating equipment must be removed by midnight on Saturday.  All RV lots will close at 12:00 noon on Sunday.

As you approach the campus, clear signage will indicate accessible parking areas.  The airstrip for overflow RV parking will be accessible by traveling through the Reserved RV Lot.

Fans should be sure to park in their assigned reserved spaces and/or in the areas as directed by the event staff.  Alcorn has contracted with a tow truck company to be on campus for expeditious service.  Vehicles may be towed at the owner's expense for failure to follow directions and/or parking in error in reserved lots.  Season parking holders should use their hangtags for easier recognition by the parking attendants.

The main entry gate to the campus will allow entry only for General Tailgate, Reserved Tailgate, VIP Parking, Premium Parking, RVs, and ADA Parking.  The only passes that will be sold at the main entry are for General Tailgate ($55).

General parking, school buses, and high school day attendees in personal vehicles may continue (right lane only) to Highway 552 to access the Special Event Parking Lot General Parking ($30) or the back entrance for additional general parking ($30).  Note that General Parking will not be allowed to access the tailgate areas around the stadium.

The designated ADA parking lot is located across the street from the stadium.  Transport services are available and may be requested by notifying a university event employee.

Side-by-Sides and ATVs will not be allowed at any of the home games, but the university continues to allow golf carts during athletic events.  Golf carts will be restricted from traveling through the VIP parking lot beginning at 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. For safety concerns. children under 16 years old are restricted from driving golf carts.
On October 4, campus will be a "walking campus" – 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. for students.  Students will be restricted from riding scooters on all game days.

Fans can help the process by purchasing tickets and parking online, printing or presenting the QR code for entry, properly displaying parking passes, and planning to arrive early.  Due to unpredictable cellular connectivity, be sure to download prior to entering campus and ensure that it is correct (parking or tickets).
