Lorman, Miss. – The Southwestern Athletic Conference has announced the field for the 2025 SWAC Women's Soccer Tournament, with Alcorn State earning the No. 6 seed following the conclusion of regular season play. The Lady Braves finished conference competition with a 3-3-2 record, securing a spot among the league's top eight teams.
Alcorn State's regular season was highlighted by key results over Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Alabama State, and Southern. The Lady Braves showed consistency on both ends of the field, with a balanced attack and strong defensive play contributing to their postseason qualification.
As the No. 6 seed, Alcorn State will face No. 3 Texas Southern in Match 4 of the quarterfinal round. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the PVAMU Soccer Complex in Prairie View, Texas. The winner will advance to the semifinal round to meet the victor of Match 3 between No. 2 Jackson State and No. 7 Grambling State.
The 2025 SWAC Women's Soccer Tournament will be hosted by Prairie View A&M University and run from November 6–9. The event will feature eight teams competing for the conference title and an automatic berth to the NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Championship.
