Lorman, Miss. – The Alcorn State women's soccer team capped off a strong 2025 campaign with multiple players earning postseason honors from the Southwestern Athletic Conference, highlighted by three major award winners and three First Team selections.

Annick Zouma earned Midfielder of the Year, Freshman of the Year, and All-SWAC First Team honors following an outstanding debut season for the Lady Braves. Zouma was a dominant presence in the midfield, serving as the team's primary playmaker and a consistent force on both ends of the pitch. Her dynamic ability to create scoring chances and control tempo helped lead Alcorn to its best conference finish in program history.

Joining Zouma among the SWAC's top players was Larissa Joso Luma, who claimed Newcomer of the Year and All-SWAC First Team recognition. The transfer forward made an immediate impact with her pace and scoring ability, contributing key goals and assists throughout the season that helped fuel Alcorn's postseason push.

Rounding out the trio of honorees was senior forward Iesha Rollins, who was named to the All-SWAC First Team. Rollins, one of the most experienced players on the roster, led by example with her goal-scoring prowess and attacking consistency, delivering multiple match-winning performances in conference play.

The awards mark a historic showing for head coach Ken Kabiru's program, reflecting Alcorn's continued rise within the SWAC and the depth of emerging talent across the roster. The Lady Braves finished the season as the No. 6 seed in the conference tournament, highlighted by key victories over UAPB, Alabama State, and Southern.

The future remains bright for Alcorn State women's soccer as the program builds on this milestone season and continues to make its mark on the SWAC landscape.

The SWAC announced the field for the 2025 SWAC Women's Soccer Tournament, with the Lady Braves earning the No. 6 seed following the conclusion of regular season play.
