Lorman, Miss. - Alcorn State Athletics returns to action this week as the Lady Braves and Braves continue non conference competition with a trio of road matchups against nationally recognized opponents.
The Alcorn State women's basketball team will begin the week on the road at UAB on Monday, Dec. 15. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. in Birmingham as the Lady Braves continue to build momentum heading toward the SWAC portion of the schedule. The matchup marks another test against a physical Conference USA opponent as Alcorn looks to sharpen its execution on both ends of the floor.
Following Monday's contest, the Lady Braves will remain on the road and travel to Auburn for a Thursday night matchup on Dec. 18. The 6 p.m. tipoff against the Tigers closes out non conference play for Alcorn State women's basketball and provides valuable experience against a Southeastern Conference opponent before league action begins.
On the men's side, Alcorn State will also close out its non conference slate with a Friday night contest at Baylor on Dec. 19. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. as the Braves take on the Bears in Waco. The matchup offers another opportunity for Alcorn State to test itself against a nationally respected program while continuing to prepare for SWAC competition.
