1/12/2026 12:15:00 PM

Lorman, Miss. – Alcorn State University has announced its 2026 women's tennis schedule, a well-balanced slate that blends tradition, regional rivalries, and quality nonconference competition as the Lady Braves continue to build momentum on the court.

Alcorn State will open the season against a competitive group of nonconference opponents that includes McNeese State, Mississippi State, Alabama, Southern Miss, Sam Houston State, Troy, and Texas A&M–Corpus Christi, providing early tests against established programs from across the South. The schedule also features matchups with Georgia Southern, Southeastern Louisiana, Kennesaw State, and several strong community college programs, creating a demanding early season stretch designed to sharpen the Lady Braves ahead of conference play.

Home matches during the 2026 campaign will be played in Vicksburg, MS, giving the Lady Braves a consistent home base while continuing to grow the program's presence in the region. The Vicksburg site will host several key dates on the schedule as Alcorn State welcomes both conference and nonconference opponents throughout the spring.

Conference competition will once again play a central role in the season, as the Lady Braves prepare to face familiar Southwestern Athletic Conference foes with postseason positioning in mind. The combination of a challenging nonconference lineup and a focused conference schedule reflects the program's commitment to steady growth and long-term success.

The full 2026 Alcorn State women's tennis schedule, including dates, locations, and match times, is available now on the official Alcorn State Athletics website. Fans are encouraged to follow the Lady Braves throughout the season and support the program during its home matches in Vicksburg.
