LORMAN, Miss. — The Alcorn State University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is hosting a community food drive from October 28 through November 21 to support the Natchez Stewpot and help address food insecurity in the local community.
The initiative reflects Alcorn Athletics' continued commitment to community engagement and service beyond competition. Through this effort, student-athletes, coaches, staff, alumni, fans, and community members are encouraged to contribute food donations to help the Natchez Stewpot continue providing meals and resources to individuals in need.
Donations of canned goods and nonperishable food items are requested, including canned fruits and vegetables, beans, rice, pasta, cereal, and peanut butter. Meat and dessert donations, such as chicken, turkey, beef, pork, fish, cakes, cookies, brownies, and pies, are also welcome.
