Memphis, Tenn- Alcorn(0-7) battled with the University of Memphis Tigers(2-4) Thursday morning. The Braves competed in all three sets, showing improvement in the second and third sets.

Set One: Alcorn battled Memphis in a competitive opening set but fell 25-6. The Braves got kills from Rylan Jones, who led with two in the set. Memphis built an early advantage, including multiple aces.

Set Two: Alcorn showed improvement in the second set, but Memphis held its own for a 25-17 win. The Braves kept the set close and cut the deficit to 23-16 late before Memphis closed it out.

Set Three: Alcorn battled in the final set, cutting Memphis lead to 14-10 after a 6-0 run that included kills from CristinWebb, Rylan Jones, and a service ace from Courtney Carter. The Braves continued to fight, pulling within 16-14 and later 19-15, but Memphis regained control and closed the set 25-17.

Rylan Jones led the team with 14 kills and a .206 hitting percentage.
