Memphis, Tenn- Day two of the Classic and the Lady Braves (0-8) faced Mississippi State Friday afternoon. A strong outing against the Bulldogs but it wouldn't be enough as they fell 0-3.  Crisistin Webb led the Lady Braves with a season high 10 kills and finished the game with a .304 hitting percentage. Rylan Jones finished with 9 kills and 3 digs, Courtney Carter tallied with 8 kills and 10 digs. 

Set One: Mississippi took the opening set 28-8 over Alcorn. The Braves stayed close early,trailing 6-3 before the Bulldogs used a strong run to pull away. Jones and Webb recorded Alcorn's two kills in the set,while Daylin Saiki added an assist on both. 

Set Two: Bulldogs took set two 25-19,but Alcorn showed more fight offensively.The Braves stayed within striking distance throughout training before the Bulldogs closed on a 5-2 run. 

Set Three:  Mississippi State closed out the match with a 25-16 third set win. Alcorn battled till the end. ,trying the set at 15-15 after a kill from Webb.The Bulldogs then pulled away with a 6-1 run to take the lead. 

Notes

Courtney Carter had a season high of 10 digs,Tomoni Giddings finished with 13.

Alcorn finished with 7 blocks as a team.

Daylin Saiki finished with 23 assists.
