Memphis, Tenn- The final day of the Carrie Yerty Classic the Lady Braves(0-9) faced the Boston College Eagles. The Lady Braves didn't show some grit despite the outcome of dropping (0-3).Sophomore Rylan Jones nailed down 10 kills, Courtney Carter tacked on 9 kills.Daylin Saiki finished with 26 assists.
Set One: Alcorn found themselves down 8-4 , early in the set before the Lady Braves rallied with six straight points to take 10-8 lead.Both teams continued to battle back and forth, but Boston College closed the set with 4-0 run to take a 21-14 lead and went on to win the set 25-21.
Set Two: Lady Braves jumped out to a 5-1 lead early and extended their advantage to 10-9 before the Eagles responded with a run to take a 14-11 lead.Alcorn stayed within distance,cutting the deficit to 16-15,but Boston College pulled away late to close out the set.
Set Three: In the last set,Alcorn fought in the third set,with the teams tied 6-6.The Eagles then used a 6-0 run to take a 14-10 lead and extend their advantage to 16-10.The Lady Braves continued to fight,but Boston College maintained control late and closed out the set 25-18 to take a 3-0 win
