Freeman averaged a team-high 12.9 points per game in conference in 2016-17. She scored 10.9 points per game on the season and recorded team-bests of 96 assists (third in the SWAC) and 69 steals (second in the SWAC). Freeman started at point guard in 29 of 30 games. She scored a career-high 24 points against Alabama A&M on Jan. 23, 2017 when she drained 10 field goals. Freeman dished out a career-high eight assists against Mississippi Valley State on Jan. 14, 2017, and grabbed a career-high six steals three times. She was the only Lady Brave to make 10 free throws in a single game on the year when she did it against Jackson State on Jan 11, 2017. Freeman tallied 16 double-figure scoring games including a trio of 20-plus outings.
