Alcorn Athletics Student-Athlete Advisory Committee visited Natchez High School yesterday to discuss tools to help prepare them for collegiate athletics. Time management, proper nutrition, playing time, social media, academic focus, and determination were among several topics discussed.
Natchez High student-athletes were able to ask questions as well as grasp a better understanding of college life as a student-athlete.
Fred Galloway, member of the ASU track team and Vice President of the SAAC stated, "That above all character counts, define who you will be as an athlete and student now."
It was great having the opportunity for our student-athletes to assist Natchez High's student-athletes in becoming more focused for future success. "Our student athletes did a great job encouraging Natchez High's student-athletes," said Associate AD and SWA Ms.
Dorianne Johnson.
