Lady Braves Continue Road Swing Monday Night at Wichita State

LORMAN, Miss. – The Alcorn State women's basketball team continues its four-game road stretch with a stop at Wichita State Monday (Nov. 30) night for a 6 p.m. tilt at Charles Koch Arena.
 
OPENING STORYLINES
 ► The Alcorn State University women's basketball program faces Wichita State Monday (Nov. 30) at the Charles Koch Arena for a 6 p.m. tipoff.
 
► The Lady Braves opened their season with a 99-65 loss at Southeastern Louisiana, seeing two players, Cayla Obillo and Kirdis Clark, finish in double digit points for the purple and gold.
 
► Sophomore Cayla Obillo had a career day at SLU, posting a personal-best, 18-point performance along with matching a team-high in rebounds (3) and assists (3).
 
► Nathaniel Kilbert searches for his first win at the helm of the Lady Braves, with his past coaching stops including fellow SWAC members Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Mississippi Valley State. 
 
► Alcorn and Wichita State have squared off twice prior to Monday night's outing; the Lady Braves won the first meeting in 1991. The Shockers began their 2020-21 campaign with a 78-58 home-opening victory last Friday against Texas A&M – Corpus Christi.
 
► As a team, Alcorn ranked fourth among SWAC members in offense after totaling 1968 points and averaging 63.5 per game in 2019-20.
 
► Alcorn placed ninth in the 2020-21 SWAC Preseason Poll with 46 points.
