LORMAN, Miss. – Season Tickets for the 2022-23 Alcorn State men's and women's basketball teams are now available for purchase at https://alcornsports.myimpacttickets.com/basketball. Season tickets for the home Southwestern Athletic Conference competitions are $76.25, while single-game admission is $12.65 in advance.
The 2022-23 home conference schedule will feature rivalry matchups against Jackson State, Mississippi Valley State, and the rest of the SWAC.
Out-of-conference matchups will be free of charge but will feature community initiatives such as a Thanksgiving can food drive and Toys for Tots to help families in need during the holiday season.
The reigning SWAC men's regular season champs will kick off the season at home against Tougaloo College in exhibition play on Thursday, Oct. 27. The game is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. inside the Davey L. Whitney Complex. The team will then spend the rest of the pre-conference season on the road against foes such as Ole Miss, Arizona State, and Tennessee.
The women's team starts the season with a week-long stretch on the road, facing Tulsa, Wichita State, and Illinois before bringing the game home to take on Arkansas Baptist on Wednesday, Nov. 16. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. The Lady Braves are requesting fans bring canned foods for entrance.
Conference play will begin on the Braves' home court Monday, Jan. 2, in a doubleheader against JSU. The women's contest is set to start at 2 p.m. The men's game will follow immediately after the conclusion of the women's.
