LORMAN, Miss. – Alcorn State University officials are anticipating Braves fans to "Pack the Jack" for its rivalry game versus Jackson State University at Jack Spinks – Marino Casem Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 19, at 2 p.m., in Lorman, Mississippi. Fans of both schools are strongly encouraged to arrive as early as possible on game day and to
Purchase Tickets and Parking Online in advance. Ticket windows will open at 7 a.m. on the home and visitor sides of the stadium. The campus will open for parking at 4 a.m. Contact the Alcorn Ticket Office at 601-877-2322 or email ejjones@alcorn.edu for more information on tickets and/or parking.
Game Day Tailgating
Tailgaters are reminded that setup begins at noon on Friday, Nov. 18.
The cut-off time to enter for tailgating is 8 a.m. the day of the game. Furthermore, tailgaters must present and display a valid tailgate pass prior to being allowed to set up. General Tailgate areas will be marked with signage. All tailgating equipment (trailers, tents, grills, chairs, etc.) must be removed from the campus by midnight on game day. No caution tape, flags or other cordoning devices are allowed.
RV Parking
RVs may begin arriving after noon on the Thursday prior to the day of the game.
RVs are encouraged to arrive at campus prior to 8 a.m. on the day of the game.
Traffic Flow, Shuttles and Parking
VIP, Premium Reserved, and Reserved RV parking areas are sold out. General parking passes will be available on the day of game. However, we strongly encourage fans to purchase those items online.
Game Day patrons should familiarize themselves with Alcorn's traffic patterns and adjustments. The Special Event Parking Facility is designated as the General Event Parking Lot (Green) and the cost per vehicle is $20 in advance (online) and $30 game day. All parking lots on the campus will be utilized to accommodate vehicles.
Tailgating will only be allowed in designated tailgating areas.
Traffic adjustments will be approached in the safest manner possible through a collaborative effort between Alcorn Campus Police, MDOT, Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol, and other local, county, and state law enforcement partners. Personnel will be present to assist in directing traffic. All traffic will proceed as signs and officials direct. Three lanes off Highway 552 Bypass will be utilized to enter the new Special Event Parking Facility.
Visitors approaching the campus who wish to use the General Event Parking Lot should veer/keep right at the fork on to the Highway 552 Bypass to access the new Special Event Parking Facility. When designated parking areas are full, fans will be re-routed to other parking areas located throughout the campus.
The university utilizes a color code system and signage to help identify the various parking lots and entrances utilized on Game Day:
Gold VIP, Bus, and RV Parking South (Main) Entrance
Purple Purple Premium Parking South (Main) Entrance
Blue Premium Reserved Parking South (Main) Entrance
Red Reserved Tailgate Parking South (Main) Entrance
Orange Reserved Tailgate Parking South (Main) Entrance
White General Tailgate South (Main) Entrance
Gray Day and Media (Main) Entrance
Green General Event Parking Access Road/North (Back) Entrance
To expedite entry, please have your parking pass displayed for the attendants. If you have a parking pass on your mobile device, have it ready to display with a high brightness level and without a screen protector. Readily available exact change will also help to expedite entry.
Additionally, all other existing gameday rules and regulations are still in effect. Fans are also reminded to review the fan guide to prepare and enjoy a successful game day experience.
