Box Score LORMAN, Miss. -- Alcorn State University women's basketball raced past the Arkansas Baptist University Lady Buffaloes for their second win in a Sunday match up at the Davey L. Whitney Complex. The Lady Braves dominated the game and snatched the win, 78-45.
  There were three Alcorn players in the double digits for points.
Destiny Brown led the way with 13 points while Zy'Nyia White and
Akyriale Ford each accounted for 11.
Nakia Cheatham ran the boards for ASU and came back with a team-high nine rebounds. She was followed by Brown with eight and Ford with seven.
Nia McCalphia kept the offense moving with four assists and
Kiarra Henderson snagged four steals.
  As a team, the Lady Braves finished the day going 42.4 percent from the field and 69.2 percent from the line.
  Arkansas Baptist was led by Celebria Peacock with 14 points. She was followed by Bobbie Hill with 12 points. Anna Kassim tallied five rebounds while Koko Banks recorded three steals.

    Collectively, the Lady Buffaloes ended the contest going 25.5 percent from the field and 58.6 percent from the stripe.
Alcorn will be on the road Saturday, Dec. 9 as they travel to Denton, Texas to face the University of North Texas. Tip off is set for 2 p.m.
