LORMAN, Miss. – Alcorn State University men's cross country traveled to the University of Texas-Tyler for the UT-Tyler XC Opener on Saturday.
Alocius Kipngetich (22:57.8), Bryan Alvarez (23:08.2), Corinthian Walker (26:26.9) competed well for the Braves on the outing.
    The top runners for the event were UT-Tyler's David Soto in first place (20:10.1), and Harding University's Luke Walling (20:23.1) and Noah Haileab (20:49.4) in second and third place, respectively.
    The Braves will hit the course again on Saturday, Sept. 28 as they travel to Thibodaux, La. for the 6th Annual Nicholls XC Invitational Presented by Walk-On's hosted by Nicholls State University.
