Lorman, Miss. – Alcorn State basketball heads east this week as both the Lady Braves and Braves prepare for a demanding Southwestern Athletic Conference road trip through Florida, with four league games scheduled across a five-day span.

The Lady Braves begin the Florida swing on Thursday, Jan. 22, traveling to Daytona Beach for a conference matchup against Bethune-Cookman. The contest opens the road stretch and serves as an early test as Alcorn State looks to establish rhythm and consistency away from home against a well-known league opponent.

Following Thursday's game, the Lady Braves will make the short trip north to Tallahassee to face Florida A&M on Saturday, Jan. 24. The matchup marks the second stop of the trip and carries added significance as conference standings begin to take shape during the heart of the SWAC schedule.

The Braves will join the Lady Braves in Tallahassee on Saturday, creating a SWAC doubleheader at Florida A&M. The shared game day provides a full slate of Alcorn State basketball and a valuable opportunity for the men's team to gain momentum on the road against a conference rival.

After Saturday's contest, the men's team will conclude the Florida trip on Monday night, Jan. 26, returning to Daytona Beach for a matchup against Bethune-Cookman. The game closes out the Sunshine State swing and caps a challenging stretch of conference play away from the Davey L. Whitney Complex.

With multiple road games in a short window, the Florida trip represents an important stretch for both programs as they continue to position themselves in the SWAC race and carry tradition forward while pushing toward new benchmarks in conference play.
