LORMAN, Miss. – Under the direction of head coach Dr. Timothy D. Queen, Alcorn Cheer announced the process for 2026-27 tryouts on Monday, Feb. 16, with a host of information pertinent to the process and more.
Â
Designed to identify student-athletes who exemplify excellence in spirit, performance, academics, and character, the three-round selection process reflects the program's commitment to maintaining a championship standard.
Â
The Alcorn Cheerleading Program continues to build a culture whereÂ
"The Standard is the Standard" – a philosophy rooted in consistent excellence, academic accountability, leadership, discipline, and pride in representing The Reservation.
Â
"At Alcorn, we are building more than a cheer team. We are building leaders," said Dr. Queen. "We are looking for disciplined, driven, and dedicated student-athletes who are committed to excellence in the classroom, in performance, and in character. Our expectation is simple: excellence is not occasional … it is the standard."
