BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alcorn State University's
Kelvin Kipkemboi won the Southwestern Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for Oct. 4. Kipkemboi received the nod after his performance at the Nicholls State University Cross Country Invitational on Sept. 30.
In the race, the Kapsabet, Kenya native earned top honors with a time of 19:50.77.
The Braves cross country team will hit the course on Oct. 13 as they head to Clinton, Miss. for the Watson Collegiate Classic hosted by Mississippi College.
